The Wider Church

One church, many surfaces. This site is a single door. Here is the whole building.

This site — whatisthe — is the study companion: the explanation, the Lexicon, the Oracle. But the Church does not live here. It lives in a book you can hold, a doctrine seat you can read, a sanctuary you can walk. Each pillar is catalogued below with its office — most are the Church's own; one is an independent house that works alongside it. After the pillars, the apocrypha — the smaller instruments the Church has left where it passed.

Everything on this page is connective text. The Bible itself is the first holding below.

The Pillars

I SEE·001
Volume · Source Text The Art Bible of the Church of Conceptual Art

The gospel. Volume I of the Art Bible is the source text from which everything on this site descends — the Concept, the Covenant, the Seven Sacred Laws, set in print and signed (ISBN 9798350759792). This site is its study companion; the Glossary is its second volume. The doctrine is not summarized here out of modesty: the summary exists so that you will read the book.

II SEE·002
Doctrine Seat cocausa.org

The American seat, where the Doctrine of Semiotic Reversal is kept: transmutation, liberation, reclamation, performance. Here the Church publishes the Mission — a statement of doctrine, purpose, and jurisdiction, in five movements: Why We Exist, Brand as Communion, Ethics, the Mechanism, the Lineage — and receives Confessions. If this site explains the Church, the seat is where the Church speaks in the first person.

International Edition cocaworldwide.org

The doctrine in seventeen tongues, with the book to download. The Concept does not translate; the words do.

A church you can walk. Click to look; WASD to move; on a phone, one thumb moves and the other looks. Read the signs and enter the rooms. The building the rest of these pages describe.

Consultancy · Independent unsubscribe.llc

Not the Church — a separate entity, and a for-profit one. Unsubscribe LLC consults on decision-making and the asking of better questions, and works with the Church often. It keeps the account of the Diet Coke Oracle System — the Refinery, the Casting, the Interpretation, the Discussion. The tool is not the variable; you are.

For-Profit · Frequent Collaborator

The Church keeps a vestry at nameofmy.com. Acquiring an artifact — a volume, a garment — is the indirect way to keep the lights of the institution on. The covenant, as always, runs forever.

Works & Apocrypha

Smaller instruments, toys, and terminals, left where the Church has passed. They are catalogued so the record is complete; they are not explained, because they explain themselves or refuse to.

The CoCA × Diet Coke Oracle

The four-phase hostile-editor I Ching interface, kept at cocausa.org — not to be confused with this site's own Oracle, which answers; that one refines.

The corporate topology dashboard — the entity network, diagrammed

Public Corporate Topology

The organism, diagrammed: the nonprofit Church, The Factory, Unsubscribe LLC, COLA IND. The structure, shown honestly, because the structure is the work.

Chrome Devotions

Two spinning chrome devotions — the logo as object of contemplation, turned until it means something else. Or nothing. Either is fine.

CoCA Slide Studio

A slide maker. Every institution needs a deck; the Church lets you make your own.
