About this site
This is the explanatory surface of the Church of Conceptual Art — an on-ramp for the curious that descends into study material for the committed.
It is a sibling of The Glossary (Volume II of the Art Bible), and shares its visual language. Where the Glossary traces the lineage of the Concept across philosophy, this site explains the doctrine in plain terms and shows you how to study and gather around it.
Both are surfaces of one communion. The source text is The Art Bible of the Church of Conceptual Art, Volume I — a printed book, not a metaphor. The doctrine keeps its seat at cocausa.org, its international edition in seventeen tongues at cocaworldwide.org, and a sanctuary you can walk at churchofconceptualart.org. Every surface, pillar and apocrypha alike, is catalogued in The Wider Church.

The reading convention
This site mixes two kinds of text, and marks them so you always know which is which. Each kind is set as its own specimen below.

Direct scripture
A red-ruled block with a source line is a direct quotation from the CoCA Bible, the Mission Deck, or the Mission as the Church publishes it at the seat — the institution's own words, unaltered:

Connective text
Ordinary paragraphs like this one are written for this site — explanation, framing, and interpretation. They are not scripture. Interpretive asides appear muted:
